FIND A JOB - Interviewing Prepare | Schedule | The Interview | FOLLOW-UP Send a thank-you letter to your interviewer within 48 hours of the interview. This is a great follow-up reminder and could make the difference between getting the job and losing it. The purpose of the letter is to thank your interviewer for meeting with you, to display your enthusiasm once again, and to set yourself apart from the crowd. Only about ten percent of candidates send a thank-you note, so by writing one, you'll have an immediate advantage. In the note, mention that you're even more interested in the job than ever. You should refer - briefly - to something that the two of you spoke about during your interview, if it's specifically about the job. Invite your interviewer to contact you with questions, sign the bottom, and get your thank-you note in the mail the very next day! Thank You Note Example (24K Word) |
