FIND A JOB - Interviewing Prepare | SCHEDULE | The Interview | Follow-up You've assessed your career goals and targeted a prospective employer, and now that employer wants to talk. Congratulations! While you've gotten your foot in the door, your work isn't over. You now need to find out if the job and the company fit with your goals and personality. Likewise, the company has to find out if your skills and qualifications meet their needs. While it can be an intimidating process, the interview is meant to make sure that you and your potential employer mesh, so make the most of it! In order to ace your interview and land the job, you must first understand
the whole interview process. Make the best impression you can, right off
the bat. When your potential employer calls to invite you for an interview,
show them just how enthusiastic you are. Tell them that you're excited
about the opportunity and thank them for the chance to meet. Then, show
them that you're eager to prepare for the interview:
Before you hang up, tell the interviewer or recruiter that you're looking forward to meeting with them. When they hang up, your prospective employer should have an overall impression of confidence and enthusiasm. You should have all the information above. |
