There are many professional development networking opportunities that help you grow professionally in your current job or enhance your opportunities for career advancement with your current employer.

Before any networking opportunity, prepare or fine tune your networking sound byte, a 30-40 second summary of who you are and the strengths, skills, and qualifications you have to offer. You'll want to mention your career targets, but avoid being too direct about a specific job opening.
