Christine began her career as an office manager for her family business while attending Johnson & Wales University. Raised in East Providence, Rhode Island, she received her bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a master’s degree in Technology Education, graduating Cum Laude and developing the first computer training program at Pequot Academy before moving to Atlanta, Georgia. She continued her education at Atlanta Technical College in Computer Information Systems - Networking & Programming where she taught for the school of continuing education. Christine is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Education-Leadership in Higher Education at Johnson & Wales University while working as a Consultant.

Christine has extensive experience working for government, municipal, and non-profit organizations as a manager for several database development projects, deputy sheriff, tax auditor, communications specialist, international fuel tax/motor fuel tax supervisor, and computer training specialist. To add to her list of accomplishments, she created and led the Sales Tax “decrease delinquency recidivism” team at the Georgia Department of Revenue.

Christine and her Basenji, Sparkle, now live closer to her family in Seekonk, Massachusetts. She consults regularly with vendors establishing domains and building web pages that connect businesses in the US to International markets. She has recently been honored with the Outstanding Public Assistance Recognition from the Internal Revenue Service, Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition from the US Congress, Rhode Island Office of Lieutenant Governor’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Award, and the Rhode Island Senate Citation as a Volunteer for VITA. She enjoys providing technical and resource information to those less fortunate.

After completion of her Doctorate in Education, she hopes to share the benefits of her background, travel experience, and leadership abilities with future students as a member of the faculty. As a representative of the Alumni, her vision is for the council to reach out to students from various cultural environments and social backgrounds and enhance a meaningful and challenging experience at Johnson & Wales University. She firmly believes that “everyday there’s a chance to learn something new.”
