Doug Ness, undergraduate program representative for the School of Technology, began his career in 1980 in Medfield, Mass. While still a senior in high school, Ness worked for his family business called Ness Quick Coffee Service. While attending Johnson & Wales during the day, he continued to balance his course load and work load by gaining new clients when he wasn’t attending classes.

Doug continued to work for his family business for 15 years until acquiring his own cleaning company in 1995 called, NGE Products & Services Co. In 1996 Doug took NEG in a different direction from residential cleaning to a construction clean-up establishment working with different contracting companies in multi-million dollar homes.

In 1997 while Doug was building NGE he joined the United States Naval Reserve and became affiliated with Naval Submarine Support Facility, in New London, CT, serving as a Storekeeper, Second Class until 2003. Soon after he transferred over to Fleet Logistic Support, Squadron 52, Willow Grove, PA, working in Flight Ops/Order-writing.

In 2000 Doug decided to continue his education at Endicott College, finishing with his Bachelors requirements in 2002. Doug had also held a position as an Independent Insurance Broker for MW Financial Group, LTD. Presently, Doug is employed with Sprint as an Account Executive.
