Sandy Finklin, North Miami Campus Representative, is an Outreach Supervisor for Team Metro of Miami-Dade County, the one-stop center dedicated to improve access to Miami-Dade County services available to you, your family, and your community. As the Outreach Supervisor, she provides access to resourceful information to many residents throughout the Miami-Dade County area.
In addition, she develops and oversees media publications and press releases for all community events. These community events include but are not limited Association Fundraisers, Food & Toy Drives, Cultural Festivals, Golf Classics, U.S. Passport Application Events, Immigration Assistance, Legal Clinics, and so much more. She leads and trains subordinates in enforcement administrative methods and county legal processes. Sandy provides information to citizens concerning requirements of the County Code and other legal requirements. She also develops action plans for the resident’s neighborhoods debates. She keeps with her company’s mission statement "Embracing the needs of our Citizens through outreach, education, and service excellence to improve the quality of life in our community"
Moreover, Sandy is a respected pioneer among her family and friends since she was the first of two generations to complete a college education with honors. She was accepted into Johnson & Wales University in the Honors program with a DECA scholarship. While obtaining her undergraduate degree, she was very active within the University in roles such as: Resident Assistant, Student Government Senator, Christian Student Fellowship Member, DECA Executive Board Member, Student Mentor, Cape Verdean Association, and International Club. Sandy has had a diverse career track after graduation. She has been a leader in many roles with companies such as, Consumer Pulse, JobDirect.com, Rhode Island Philharmonic, Women & Infant’s Hospital, just to name a few. She has had the opportunity to discover education in another country. Sandy explored International Marketing in Malaysia during a study abroad with Kolej Damasa Utama.
In Sandy’s spare time, she enjoys traveling with her husband and taking care of her two action-packed cats. Furthermore, she finds enjoyment in playing tennis and volleyball. Currently, she is doing research toward her DM in Organizational Leadership while writing, publishing, and producing poetry segments with contemporary urban gospel inspirations.
