After graduating with a bachelor's degree in hospitality management and two associate degrees (one in food and beverage management and the second in hotel and restaurant management), Orlando was on a path to success. Orlando's first job out of college was with the Stouffer Orlando Resort. She started as a Manager in Training Program and soon became an Associate Restaurant Manager. From there, Orlando climbed the ladder of success and was promoted to Assistant Banquet Manager. Her responsibilities included daily operations of the $16 million banquet department, managing a staff of more than 100. After three years at the Stouffer, Orlando moved to The Peabody Orlando Hotel. There she served as Maitre D' and was in charge of menus, themes and wine pairing for seasonal menus and private dinners. Less than a year later, she was hired as the Restaurant Manager, Southeast Division for Carlson Restaurants Worldwide. Among Orlando's job responsibilities were managing the daily operations and more than 100 employees at the largest T.G.I. Friday's in the United States. Since first joining Carlson Restaurants Worldwide, Orlando has moved into the position of Management Recruiter, Northeast Division. The job includes the overseeing of management staffing for 45 Corporate T.G.I. Friday's Restaurants and the screening and interviewing of all management candidates in the northeast division. |
