After graduating, Loren accepted a position as a chef at Al Forno restaurant in Providence. With seven years of guidance and mentorship, and the encouragement of Al Forno's owners, Loren took the chance and opened Empire Restaurant also in Providence. Loren and her restaurant have been featured in numerous publications including Food & Wine, Bon Appetite, The New York Times, and The Boston Globe. Setting her sights on New York City, Loren has sold Empire and is currently making plans to continue her culinary career by relocating to the Big Apple.

In addition, she has been recognized by The James Beard Foundation and is a pioneer for the Women Chefs & Restaurateurs Mentorship program.
