Director of College Relations & Recruitment, Compass Group
John
holds the position of director of college relations and recruitment,
responsible for rationalizing and delivering college relations and recruitment
strategies for all divisions of Compass Group North American.
John
is based in Charlotte, N.C., where in addition to his college recruitment
activities, he is responsible for monitoring the service levels of Compass
Group’s national advertising agency and internet recruitment contracts.
Prior to joining Compass Group, John worked with a privately held executive search firm in North Carolina for 5 years, specializing in real estate finance recruitment. He began at Compass Group in 1999 as a regional recruiter.
An active Charlotte resident, John is credited with planting the seed with Charlotte business leaders which developed into a new Johnson & Wales campus. Always a J&W advocate, he also influenced Compass Group senior management to partner with the University in what is now a Covenant relationship.
John is married to fellow alumna Kimberly (Barnes) ’90, is an avid golfer and resides in Charlotte. In addition, John and his wife recently celebrated the adoption of their newborn son, Matthew.
