We're excited to partner with the John Hazen White College of Arts & Sciences and the College of Health & Wellness for this fall's Media & Politics Cafe, The Politics of Pandemics: Communities of Color and Disproportionate Impacts, from HIV/AIDS to the Coronavirus Crisis.

College of Health & Wellness Department Chair and Associate Professor Cara Sammartino will moderate the panel, comprised of guests who were chosen for their diverse backgrounds of relevant expertise and experience. The panel includes

  • Carlton E. Green, Ph.D., clinical psychologist and director of diversity training, University of Maryland
  • Womazetta Jones, secretary, Rhode Island's Executive Office of Health and Human Services
  • Barbara Morse, anchor and health check reporter, NBC 10
  • Dr. Pablo Rodriguez, chair of Women & Infants Health Care Alliance, president and CEO of Women's Care, clinical associate professor at Brown University's Warren Alpert Medical School and former medical director of Planned Parenthood of Rhode Island

Through JWU Connects, alumni can engage in informative and interesting discussions related to professional development as well as opportunities for networking and connecting with fellow alumni, faculty and staff.
